Today I’m thankful for perfect Soccer weather.
Today we had Gavin’s first game of the year in Tomah and then we headed to Madison for Dominic’s game. Both games were fun to watch, the boys both played fairly well (maybe a little rusty from the offseason, but pretty decent overall). We had fun road tripping and shooting the bull with other parents. Throw in a visit with Courtney while we were in Madison and it was a pretty cool day.
While all of that was awesome, the weather was the thing working behind the scenes to maximize the awesomeness! The weather was AMAZING!!! It was pretty much perfect soccer weather. Hot, but never so hot you broke a sweat. Cool, but never so cool that you were uncomfortable with a sweatshirt on. Sunny, but not overly sunny, just enough huge clouds to offer some relief, and just enough so that when they went by and the sun came out you were looking forward to it. A little bit of wind, but nothing too crazy. Even a tiny bit of a light drizzle for a fleeting moment, just to remind us of how lucky we were to be dry. This weather was absolutely perfect for soccer and I’m very grateful to have had this little extra awesome in my day today!
