Today I’m thankful for getting my ass back in gear.
The past 12-ish months have been a struggle to get back into a regular running / training regimen. It seems like every so often I need to hit the reset button and start over.
Sometimes it seems like I need to not only reset, but I also need to push Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, B, A, B, A, and Start (for those of you who know what that means – we’re cool like that!).
Fortunately this go round I’ve found a great book a that I’ve been reading to help get me more fired up and motivated…
Very interesting book focused on more of a paleo diet (but thankfully nothing too crazy) and an exercise plan focused on the teachings of Dr Maffetone (creator of the Maffetone Method for heart rate). Pretty cool stuff so far!
Regardless of whether or not the systems shared actually work better than other things I can’t say that I really care. The cool part is that it has got me sparked back up and has helped me get my ass back in gear. This morning I was up before 4 and running by 4:10… It was awesome!!!
