Day 203 – Thankful for Kid’s Cup

17 Apr

Today I’m thankful for Kid’s Cup.

Please check out this link ( http:// ) after you’ve read today’s blog and feel moved to make a donation to this incredible cause. 😄

Before checking out my blog’s description of this event, please check out a video here or here ( )

Over the past handful of years I’ve been fortunate to be able to participate in Kid’s Cup with many thanks to many of you who’ve supported me and this cause in the past.  Every year I’m taken aback by both the generosity of my friends and by the strength and resolve shown by the kids who are battling unspeakable suffering due to their illnesses.  I’m proud to say that 100% of all funds raised go directly to helping ease the pain of the children.

This is the 20th anniversary of this amazing event, and the goal is to raise $200,000. Please help us reach that goal.

The Kid’s Cup event, originally known as the Miracle Marathon, began in 1997, with this mission: To raise money for Mayo Eugenio Litta Children’s Hospital in Rochester and Gillette Children’s Specialty Healthcare (a Children’s Miracle Network facility) in St. Paul to help sick and injured children. In 2001, the name was changed to the Kid’s Cup, but the goal remained the same. Over the past fifteen years, over $1 MILLION has been raised through this worthwhile event. These funds have been used to provide healthcare for children with disabilities, illnesses, and injuries by purchasing new equipment and funding special programs, including a “visiting artist” program at the Mayo Clinic Children’s Center which allows the children to work with an artist creating projects as part of their therapy.

How can you help? I have made the commitment to raise at least $1,000 in order to participate in this event, and I can’t do it without you! Your contribution will not only help me meet my goal, but will also help the kids! 100% of all funds raised go directly to Mayo Clinic Children’s Hospital and Olmsted Medical Center Infant and Prenatal Care–the event sponsor, Express Employment Professionals, pays all of the expenses.

Pledges can also be submitted safely & securely on-line at http:// . And, remember, 100% of your donation will be distributed to the hospitals, and all donations are tax deductible!

Thank you for your consideration.
